Our Story

Eco Coir was founded with a vision to bring India’s natural strength to the global agriculture industry—rooted in tradition, driven by knowledge, and guided by sustainability.

The company is led by Gaurie Shivam Mahadik, a business management graduate with strong experience in business operations, strategy, and market development. With a solid academic foundation in Business Management and hands-on exposure to managing businesses, Gaurie brings a structured, professional approach to building Eco Coir as a reliable global brand.

Her family originates from the coastal Konkan region of Maharashtra, an area closely connected with coconut cultivation and coir-based industries. Growing up around this ecosystem provided her with deep insight into local coir and coco peat production, sourcing networks, and supply chains across Konkan and other coastal regions of India, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu. This strong local foundation, combined with her understanding of international business requirements and global client expectations, inspired Gaurie to explore export markets for coir and coco peat products. By identifying quality gaps and market demand, she successfully connected India’s premium coconut resources with buyers across international markets.

Through consistent quality, transparent communication, and a focus on long-term partnerships, Eco Coir has steadily built relationships with clients around the world—supplying export-grade, sustainable growing media trusted by growers and agri-businesses.Today, Eco Coir stands as a bridge between India’s coastal coconut belts and the global agricultural community, committed to delivering reliable products while promoting eco-friendly and sustainable farming solutions.
